The Derwent Valley Online Access Centre is a community
service provided to local residents, small business operators,
interstate and international visitors alike.
The centre
is situated in the New Norfolk Library in Charles Street just off High
Street, where parking is available.
The centre is run by a full time coordinator and staffed
by dedicated volunteers, without the assistance of these volunteers the
centre would not be able to operate.
The Centre provides
a safe, friendly environment in which people of all ages can use
computers and access the Internet.
One of our major roles is to provide Adult and Community Education, from Basic
courses in IT, starter courses in budget management, and informal
information sessions in genealogy right through to E-learn Certificate
ll in IT which runs as a partnership with TAFE Tasmania.
Visitors can use the centre to quickly and easily send
and receive email, keeping in touch with friends and family back home.
The centre offers an extensive range of
services to small and micro businesses, including Online Banking,
Electronic lodgment of Taxation forms.
